HDB resale prices slip 0.1% in Q1

HDB resale prices fell by 0.1 per cent on a quarter-on-quarter basis in the first quarter of 2016, while resale transactions slumped 10.9 per cent from 4,992 cases in the fourth quarter of 2015 to 4,449 cases in Q1 2016.
According to the Housing & Development Board (HDB) on Friday, the number of applications approved for the subletting of HDB flat increased by 5.8 per cent, from 10,618 cases in Q4, to 11,239 cases in Q1. Upcoming new launch condo include Seaside ResidencesGrandeur Park Residences, Hougang EC, Yio Chu Kang EC, Hoi Hup EC while existing ones include Kingsford Waterbay, Forest Woods and Straits Mansions, Sturdee Residences and Gem Residences. Grandeur Park Residences prices will be available soon.

On March 31, 2016, 51,052 HDB flats were sublet, an increase of 1.6 per cent over Q4 when 50,264 units were sublet.
HDB had offered 4,170 flats for sale under the February 2016 build-to-order (BTO) exercise.
In the upcoming May 2016 sales exercise, HDB will offer about 4,000 BTO flats and about 5,000 balance flats. More details will be available closer to the launch of the sale exercise.
